Currently My Top Breeders’ Cup Contenders (Volume 1)
September 20th, 2010By Jude T. Feld

Now that Saratoga and Del Mar have closed their doors after a great summer, the eyes of the Thoroughbred world turn towards Belmont Park for Breeders’ Cup preview day and Keeneland for Fallstars Weekend. Both venues should give a good glimpse of the great racing set to take place at Churchill Downs on November 5 & 6. Oak Tree at Hollywood Park should supply some action as well, but with all the turmoil that is California racing, we’ll have to sort a few things out first. Here’s the initial list of the current contenders who have a soft spot in my heart.
Granted, we have a long time to go between now and then, but I like to get a jump on my handicapping early, so that I can enjoy the Breeders’ Cup festivities and my racing friends from around the world, who always visit the United States for racing’s biggest days.
